HMD Global has now sent out the media invites for a launch event to be held on June 6 in India. The company is largely expected to launch the Nokia 9 PureView, which was launched in MWC earlier this year. It is expected that the company might also launch Nokia 1 Plus, or both in the country. The media invite, however, does not reveal anything about the phones to be launched at the event.
As per a previous report, Nokia 9 PureView might be priced around Rs 46,999 in India. Currently, the device is available in the USA and some European markets for $699 (roughly Rs 48,700).
The USP of the Nokia 9 PureView is its penta camera setup. It is also the world’s first smartphone to feature five cameras at the rear. HMD has partnered with Zeiss for its new penta-camera setup. The setup consists of five 12-megapixel Sensors out of which three are monochromatic lenses and two are RGB sensors. The company claims that each camera is controlled individually and all the cameras can take photos simultaneously to offer high dynamic range. In the front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
The smartphone features a 5.99-inch with 1440 x 2880 Quad HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie and is fueled by a 3,320mAh battery with support for Fast charging and wireless charging.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor with Adreno 630 GPU along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone measures 155 x 75 x 8 mm and weighs 172 grams. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The Nokia PureView is also IP67 certified for water and dust resistance.
Nokia 1 Plus is an entry-level Android Go device.It features a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS display with a Pixel density of 197ppi and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6739WW processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The device features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The phone runs on 2500mAh battery and it runs on Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition). The phone measures 145.04 X 70.4 X 8.55 mm.
