The original Google Pixel and Pixel XL update cycle are now coming to an end. Google has confirmed that it will roll out one final update to both the smartphones.
The company has confirmed that both the devices will get their last update in December. The company has shared this information to The Verge. The whole scenario came into limelight when Google released the November security update to its Pixel smartphones expect Pixel and Pixel XL.
The search-engine giant also revealed that it will “encapsulates a variety of updates” from the November and December updates that were issued for other Pixels. With this, the Pixel and Pixel XL’s update cycle comes to an end. This is primarily because Google promises two years of Android version updates and three years of security patches for its Pixel series.
As per the support page provided by Google, Pixel and Pixel XL should have got the last major Android version update in 2018, however, the company surprised Pixel users by rolling out Android 10 update.
Meanwhile, Google revealed that it will bring the AI-powered Recorder application to older Pixel smartphones as well. The company has confirmed this news on Reddit while replying to a user. The company executive revealed that the company is planning to bring the Recorder application to older Pixel devices including Pixel 3 and Pixel 2 series with a future software update.
