To mark Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year Google has introduced artificial intelligence based shadow art game. Shadow Art is a web browser-based game that lets you experience AI and shadow puppetry in a playful way, Google said in a blog post.
To deliver what used to be an off-line experienceonline, we utilised TensorFlow.js, a TensorFlow library that makes it easy to construct and train a machine learning model directly in the Browser it added. Chinese Shadow Show is an ancient art form for storytelling that uses silhouette figures and music to pass down cultural history. Cut out or hand characters are set in front of a source of light and projected on a screen.
How does Shadow Artwork?
Shadow Art lets you Use your hands to form one of the twelve zodiac animals in the lunar cycle in front of your laptop computer or phone camera, attempting to match your hands as shown in the lead picture. The shadow, of your hands on the screen then transform into a shadow of puppet animal.
Google has brought this experience to browser game so that tone can learn how to use hands in shadow puppets, but there is a catch! You will have only twenty seconds to make one animal out of 12. The principal purpose is to experience the lunar cycle.
The new experiment is now available in eleven language varieties, including English, Chinese, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese.
