Gionee today announced the launch of Pioneer P5W in India for Rs 6,499.
Commenting on the launch, Timir Baran Acharyya, general manager, Gionee India said, “The idea behind introducing P5W has been the youth and their fascination towards carrying bright colorful phones. P5W comes in exciting color ranges from white, blue, red, yellow and black etc. The look and the feel of carrying the device have been thoroughly thought after. Aiming specifically at the youth of the country, we are sure that the device would gauge tremendous interest as like its predecessors.â€
Gionee P5W comes with a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 16GB memory expandable up to 128 GB and 1 GB RAM. Running on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop, the smartphone offers dual SIM and 3G connectivity. It has a 5 megapixel camera and an LED flash in its rear panel while for selfies, there is a 2 megapixel camera is in its front. The camera offers Beautification option, Filters, Panorama shots and something called Mood cards that describe your mood.
The device is backed by a 2000 mAh battery and has a customised lock feature, called the AMI lock that allows users to unlock the phone by scanning their face. This face unlock feature, as per Gionee, can scan and open the phone in just 0.5 seconds. The phone offers OTG support.
Pioneer P5W is available in White, Black , Blue, Red and Yellow colours. It has a 5 inch HD display.
