A new Gionee smartphone is now being offered with a mammoth 5000 mAh battery. The smartphone, aptly named as Gionee Marathon M3, is available from eBay India’s website for Rs 13,999. While couple of smartphones were launched earlier with 4000 mAh battery, this is a new benchmark for a smartphone altogether.
As per the listing, the Gionee Marathon M3 comes in black and white colours with 5 inch HD display. Its back cover is said to be in plastic and it has 8 GB of internal storage and there is a 128 GB micro SD card slot as well.
The Marathon M3 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system that runs on 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6582 quad core processor, Mali 400 MP2 GPU, and 1 GB RAM. This dual SIM smartphone offers 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera, and a 2 megapixel front camera. Note that the 5000 mAh battery is non-removable.
