Gionee M7 with dual rear cameras, bezel-less display leaked in live images

The Gionee M7 will sport an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is now becoming a new trend in the smartphone industry.

Gionee is all set to launch its latest flagship, the Gionee M7, on September 25 and just before the launch, live images of the upcoming smartphone has been leaked online, revealing some key design language.

The leaked photos were posted on Weibo and the images show a bezel-less display on the front. Interestingly, the display could sport an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is now becoming a new trend in the smartphone industry. The front has minimal upper and lower bezels as well. On the top, one can see a front-facing camera along with an earpiece and usual array of sensors, while at the base, there are on-screen navigation controls.

The back sport textured metallic finish and you will find dual rear cameras at the top left corner along with a flash. The fingerprint sensor is situated at the top center position of the back panel, while the volume controls and power on/off button are on the right side. At the base, there could be a USB Type-C port flanked between a speaker grille and a jack.

Recently, the company has confirmed that it will be launching the upcoming smartphone on September 25 in China. Previously, the phone was spotted on GFXBench, which reveal some key specifications of the upcoming smartphone. To start with, the Gionee M7 will sport a 6-inch display with a screen of 2160 x 1080 pixels, which could be a Full screen. On the hardware front, the listing reveals that it will sport an octa-core MediaTek MT6758 along with Mali-G71 GPU. The phone will be backed by a 6GB of and 64GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the phone will come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, face detection, and recording. For the front, there would be an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone also supports accelerometer, Bluetooth, GPS, gyroscope, compass, light sensor, pedometer, proximity, and WiFi.
