Gionee had showed off the Elife E7 and Elife E7 mini smartphones back in late December 2013. However, Gionee has now formally introduced the Elife E7 mini today for Rs 18,999 for India. The Gionee Elife E7 mini features a 4.7-inch HD IPS display and is powered by octa-core MediaTek mobile chipset. Gionee has implemented a 13 megapixel swivel camera that can be rotated to a certain angle.
The Elife E7 mini features the 4.7-inch IPS IGZO display with 720p HD resolution. This smartphone is powered by octa-core 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU. The Elife E7 mini packs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update with Amigo UI 2.0 to run smoothly with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. This smartphone is expected to get the Android 4.4 KitKat update
Gionee has added a 13 megapixel swivel camera on the top which can be rotated to a select angles for clicking images with the LED flash. Gionee has also integrated a new Auto Beauty feature to click a self portrait by using 12 different levels.
Gionee has added 3G network support in one of the SIM slot and one can add a 2G network supporting SIM in the other slot. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
