Gionee claims to have received about 75000 pre-orders for Gionee A1 in 10 days

Gionee A1 which was launched late last month has now received about 74,682 pre-orders in the first ten days of pre-booking period. The company claims that this figure if from March 31, 2017 – April 9, 2017, and the pre-orders are worth Rs 150 crore in total. If you pre-book the Gionee A1 (price – Rs 19,999), you are also entitled to a two-year warranty and attractive gifts such as JBL headphone or a Swiss Military Speaker. To celebrate this achievement, Gionee has been conducting midnight launches on some streets and retail stores in some select cities.

Arvind R Vohra, CEO and Managing Director (MD), Gionee India said in a press statement – “We are overwhelmed by the response of our customers to Gionee’s first flagship of the year. The pre-booking figures, the highest for any phone in the Rs 8k-25k range, are a testimony to our proposition of offering advanced selfie capabilities with longer battery life on our phones. To reinforce this trust in our customers, we are hosting midnight launches of A1 in various cities so none of our customers has to wait till next day morning to get onboard for the Gionee experience.”

Briefing you about the specifications, Gionee A1 offers a 5.5-inch full with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6755 Helio P10 processor, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also comes with an option to expand the storage to 128GB via card slot.

On the camera front, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, F2.0, 1/3.06 inches, 5P lens, flash and a 16-megapixel front camera with fixed focus, F2.0, 1/3.06 inches, 5P lens, selfie flash.

The smartphone runs on 7.0 Nougat operating system and is backed up by a 4,010 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the device support dual-SIM, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and micro USB. The handset measures 154.5 x 76.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 182 g.
