Gionee A1 get an update: Brings bokeh effect and multi-language support

The company claims that the OTA update offers a host of customised experiences to users to enjoy music, videos and taking selfies.

Gionee A1, which was launched in April this year, has received yet another major Over The Air (OTA) update. The company claims that the update offers a host of customised experiences to users to enjoy music, videos and taking selfies.
The latest update will provide Gionee A1 users with the ability to take Bokeh selfies. For the unintended, Bokeh effect is generally used to create an out-of-focus blur in a photograph. The update also brings 10 system regional languages support including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. It will convert phone system language to the desired language so the user can change languages as per their convenience.
Lastly, the update also offers a 3-year subscription of McAfee anti-virus for users to have a safe and smooth experience. Previously, the first OTA update brought a host of new features as well including a ‘Selfiestan’ folder in the image gallery, where all the selfies will be automatically saved in that folder.
Further, the update also provides a provision where you can watch both YouTube and Local videos in a common video player. The update brings a new floating window for YouTube through which one can watch a YouTube video while navigating through the smartphone’s interface. This OTA update will also allow users to create their own album in a music library.
