In the light of this sudden ban of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, Snapdeal users can now pay on delivery via FreeCharge or else avail 10% instant discount on card transactions.
To give consumers a breather from ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, Snapdeal today announced a new service - Wallet on Delivery (WoD), a first of a kind service which will allow users to pay on delivery using their FreeCharge wallet. The Wallet on Delivery will be available beginning 10th November 2016 and in a progressive roll-out, and will cover Snapdeal and FreeCharge users across the country over the next few weeks.
This service kills two birds with one stone. First, it removes the need to carry and handle cash and second it allows users to pay only when their package has been delivered after the e-commerce giant disabled Cash on Delivery options on various orders. This service comes in just at the right time when the nation is dealing with the consequence of the sudden change in financial system. Also, Thanks to partnership between Snapdeal and Freecharge which made this service possible in no time and which will eventually help people make COD payments on purchases of goods ans services by FreeCharge wallet.
For those who are not aware, FreeCharge is one of the most used e-wallets for payments for utilities, cab rides, metro, phone recharge, electricity and gas bills, petrol, DTH etc. Not only this, offline merchants like Bookmyshow, Swiggy, Zomato, Shoppers Stop, McDonald's, Cafe Coffee Day also accept payments by FreeCharge.
On the other hand, if you are not in any mood to use FreeCharge for payments and are OK paying via Debit/Credit card then you are in luck as well. Snapdeal is now offering 10% instant discount on card transactions. Note, the offer is valid only for today i.e. 10th November and you have to pay by either Debit or Credit card. There is no minimum limit of the transaction but the maximum discount one can avail is restricted to Rs 500. Snapdeal has also displayed the entire process to avail the instant discount.
