Former Apple India’s head to make Android smartphones

Apple India's Head - enterprise mobility, Sharad Mehrotra has started a new venture to make Android smartphones.

Apple India’s Head – enterprise mobility, Sharad Mehrotra has resigned from Apple to join a new venture. The start-up ‘Hyve’ aims to launch a new league of based smartphones and a wide range of accessories.

Sharad was with Apple India for 8 years, and held various senior positions managing both Channel and the Enterprise business. A veteran in telecom industry, Sharad has also worked with Airtel before joining Apple.

Sharad along with Aditya Agarwal and Abhishek Agarwal is the co-founder of ‘Hyve’.

“Sharad’s experience and competence will further add lot of value and scale to this venture, we are very confident and excited about this collaboration,” said Aditya Agarwal, founder managing director of Hyve, in a press statement.

The team also boasts of professionals from Ingram and Redington working on key positions with ‘Hyve’.
