HTC Desire VC, the dual SIM (CDMA+GSM) version of Desire V, is now available in India for Rs 21,999. This price is the same as the Desire V, but buyers get additional benefits from Tata Docomo.
As per the offer, HTC Desire VC users opting for a new Tata Docomo post paid subscribers get double Talk time (Rs 398) on Diet 199 Plan for 3 months and 2GB EvDO (3.1 Mbps) data per month free for 1 year. While the prepaid subscribers will get double talk time on select recharges for 180 days and 1 GB EvDO data per month for six months.
HTC Desire VC runs on Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0 user interface. It sports a 4-inch touchscreen display and there is a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with flash on board. Other features of Desire VC includes 4 GB Internal Memory which is expandable up to 32 GB, 1 GHz Cortex-A5 processor and 1650 mAh battery. Just like it other smartphones, HTC is also offering 25 GB Dropbox space along with this handset.
In this category, the phone only gets competition from Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos SCH-i589 which is priced much lower at Rs 13,000 and has much lower specification. Another phone from Motorola called Milestone XT 800 is also there but is very old and is based on Android 2.1 but offers attractive specification like 3.7 inch screen 5 megapixel camera but a low powered processor clocked at 550 MHz. Motorola Milestone XT 800 is currently available for Rs 10,500 only.
