Dual camera based HTC One M8 now available in India for Rs 48,990

Another high end smartphone, the LG G Pro 2, too was made available in India today.

HTC One M8, which was announced for India just few days back, is now available online. However, only the 16 version is available and it is priced at Rs 48,990; there is no information as of now about its 32 GB variant.

The HTC One M8 comes with a 5 inch display with full resolution. This 9.35mm thick handset weighs 160 grams. It is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 801 quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, and the 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

The HTC One M8 comes with two 4 rear cameras touting the UltraPixel camera technology and the latest HTC ImageSense Chip to power the imaging. The camera offers same set of features as the HTC One yet faster capturing experience and some fancy image editing effects. There is a 3D effect mode which allows the user to tilt the captured to certain degrees as well. Of course, the high quality full HD video recording is included. It has a 5 megapixel front camera as well.

Besides, the One M8 offers 2600 Li-Po battery, NFC, 4.0, WiFi, and an expandable memory slot that can accommodate a micro card of upto 128 GB capacity. It has a single SIM slot only.

Meanwhile, LG too has made available its G Pro 2 for India for Rs 49,900. The LG G Pro 2 comes with a 6 inch full HD IPS display, a 2.26 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and a 3200 mAh battery. Besides, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation feature. Like the LG G2, this phone also has its power and volume buttons at its rear panel, below the camera key. In the front, it has a 2.1 megapixel camera.

The LG G Pro 2 comes in 16 and 32 GB versions and has 3 GB RAM. Both the 16 and 32 GB versions have also a 64 GB micro SD card slot. It has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Infrared, and 2.0 port. Remember, it is a single SIM based device. Also, though it is known to be compatible with network, its compatibility with India’s 4G network is not clear as of now.
