Devices launched this week

This week there were few devices including one each from Spice, Xolo, Huawei and Zen.

After the festive season rush, comes the end of the year slumber. With only 4 launches this week, we have very little to talk about in this edition of ‘launches of the week’. A new phone from Spice, Xolo, Huawei and Zen each is what we’re exploring. Read on to find out more.

Spice Nexian – Rs 3,799

The Spice Nexian is equipped with a 4.5 inch TFT display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The phone runs on Android KitKat, and has a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, which runs with 1 GB of RAM. The stands at 8 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.

The Spice Nexian’s primary camera is a 5 megapixel camera and the front of the phone has a 3.2 megapixel selfie shooter. The Spice Nexian offers 3G, GPS (A-GPS), WiFi, and for connectivity. Its 1650 battery claims to provide up to 7 hours of or 250 hours of standby.

Xolo Black (3GB RAM) – Rs 11,999

The Xolo Black is armed with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display. It runs on Android Lollipop, and has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which runs with 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Xolo Black stands at 16 GB, to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.

The primary camera is a 13 megapixel shooter, while the front of the phone has a 5 megapixel selfie taker. The Xolo Black is a dual-SIM phone with 4G, GPS (A-GPS), Bluetooth, and WiFi. The power is provided by a 3200 mAh battery.

Huawei Nexus 6P Special Edition – Rs 43,999

Developed by Huawei, the Nexus 6P Special Edition is equipped with a 5.7 inch with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (Quad HD). The only difference between a regular 6P and the Special Edition is the gold colour. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow and has an octa-core 2.0 GHz processor, which runs with 3 GB of RAM.

The primary camera of the Huawei Nexus 6P Special Edition is a 12.3 megapixel camera while in its front lies an 8 megapixel selfie shooter. The single-SIM Huawei Nexus 6P Special Edition is a phone and offers GPS (A-GPS and GLONASS), WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and DLNA for connectivity. It comes with a 3450 mAh battery.

Zen Cinemax 2 – Rs 4,199

The Zen Cinemax 2 is armed with a 5.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It runs on Android Lollipop, and has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, which runs the phone with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Zen Cinemax 2 stands at 8 GB, to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.

Zoook Rocker 2, Rocker Mini

Audio device maker, Zoook earlier this week launched Rocker 2 and Rocker Mini Bluetooth speakers at Rs 2,995 and Rs 1,995 respectively. Both the speakers come in cylindrical design.

The Zoook Rocker has many connectivity options including Bluetooth, Micro-SD, Aux-in, and in. It has a 4400 mAh battery which claims to offer backup of upto 10 hrs. The Rocker 2 is equipped with 64 led lights and six kinds of colourful patterns. The LED lights change in pattern and pulsate with your music, allowing user to create their own style statement. The Zoook Rocker 2 Bluetooth speaker is armed with Dual neodymium speakers and a large diaphragm with which it claims to offer clear, HD sound.

The Zoook Rocker Mini, which is 85mm tall and 65mm wide, also has LED lights in its front panel for a style statement (in music flash mode, the LED flashes when the music is playing). It can be connected to any Bluetooth enabled device like Android devices, iPad, iPhone etc. The speaker has a range of about 33 feet. Besides, it has TF card support, 3.5mm AUX, USB Flash Disk and FM Radio. The Rocker Mini has an 1800mah battery that claims to offer upto 5 hours back up.
