Coral blue Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ coming soon

It is expected that new colour variant will be available for purchase through Samsung’s official website.

Samsung had launched Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ in April this year in India for Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900 respectively in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colour variants. However, the smartphones are available in Midnight Black, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver colour variants in the US. Now as per popular leakster, Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter) the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will soon come in Blue colour variant also.

The tweet reads “US-bound Galaxy S8/+ in blue”. The tweet comes along with an image of both the phones in Coral Blue. As per his tweet, seems like the blue colour varint will be exclusive to US. But sadly, when the market will get this colour option is not known at the moment. Moreover, there is also no information about the Coral Blue Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ being sold by which carriers and retailers in the country. It is expected that new colour variant will be available for purchase through Samsung’s official website.

Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch Quad (2960 x 1440 pixels) Infinity display which is curved on both sides while the Galaxy S8+ comes with a 6.2-inch Quad-HD display. Both the handsets boast a strange display aspect ratio of 18:9. The Indian variant of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ is likely to come with Exynos 8895 which is an Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. This is because Samsung sells the Qualcomm variant of its flagship in select regions only. Apart from this, the device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via card.

On the camera front, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology and f/1.7 and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with smart and aperture f/1.7.MP F1.7 Smart autofocus front camera.

Both of them runs on the latest 7.0 Nougat and the smaller sibling is powered by a 3000mAh battery, while the Plus model boasts 3500mAh battery with fast charging on wired and wireless. On the connectivity front, both the devices support Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS and LTE. The Samsung Galaxy S8 measures 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm and weighs 155g, while the Galaxy S8+ measures 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm and 173g.

Apart from the key specifications, readers should note that even though the Galaxy S8 and S8+ ship with the company’s own Bixby personal assistant, the functionality will be added only by the end of this year. Bixby, which is essentially Samsung’s version of Google Assistant which in itself is a pretty solid personal assistant. Keeping the voice command feature at the side, for the time being, Bixby will be there on the left of your home screen where it will pull up cards related to what it thinks might interest you. In other words, taking the help of its built-in machine learning, Bixby will show up cards which are relevant for you. Further, Bixby will also be there inside the camera for you to identify various things, places and also buy some of the stuff from Amazon. Samsung is relying so much on its personal assistant that it has given a dedicated button on the side.
