Canon has today announced the launch of the latest Pixma G-series of Ink Tank printers in India. The company has introduced Pixma GM2070 for Rs 14,299, Pixma G5070 for Rs 17,399 and Pixma G6070 for Rs 21,499. All the new printers will be available from June 13.
The PIXMA G6070 is a multi-function printer allowing users to use it as a copy and scan documents, while PIXMA G5070 and PIXMA GM2070 are single function printers. The new lineup comes with Ink Tank design coupled with automatic two-sided printing, large paper feeding capacity and more. The company claims that the new series delivers a low printing cost of approx. 8 paisa per print. The brand has added an economy mode in which one can print up to 8300 pages with a single black refill.
Starting with the G6070, the all-in-one printer comes with printing, scanning and copying facilities and it is equipped with Ethernet port and wireless connectivity options. It also features auto duplex printing option coupled with borderless photo printing up to A4 size. The printer features 2-line LCD panel as well.
The GM2070 is the first black and white printer offered by Canon in the Ink Tank category and support wireless and mobile printing. The model also comes with an option for colour printing. The printers have an ISO print speed of 13 ipm for black and white and 6.8ipm for colour. The company claims that the printers can deliver up to 8,300 black-and-white prints and 7,700 colour document prints.
The PIXMA G6070 and G5070 let you print and scan from your iOS and Android mobile devices (smartphones, tablets and laptops) through the Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY app. Alternatively, Android users can use the Canon Print Service plugin and AirPrint for Apple users to enjoy true driverless printing functionality.
