The state-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new plan for prepaid users priced at Rs 998. At the moment, the plan is available for recharge in Kerala circle.
TelecomTalk reports that the new Rs 998 plan is a data-only STV from BSNL and it does offer with any voice calling or SMS benefits. The plan offers 420GB data benefit for a period of 210 days without any calling benefit. It ships with the 2GB data per day for a period of 210 days. The speed is reduced after the FUP is reached, to 40kbps.
The validity of this plan is 365 days, but the freebies (data benefit) is valid for 210 days. This BSNL plan also offers Personalised Ringback Tone (PRBT) benefit for the first two months. Whether BSNL will launch this plan in other circles or not is not known at the moment.
Recently, BSNL introduced Rs 97, Rs 365 prepaid plans in India. Both the plans are available in Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Kerala and other circles. The Rs 97 plan comes with a validity of 18 days and it offers 2GB of data per day and 250 minutes of free calls per day. The Rs 365 plan comes with a validity of 60 days and it also offers 2GB of data per day and 250 minutes of calls per day.
Previously, BSNL introduced Rs 997 long-term prepaid plan for its customers. The new BSNL Rs 997 comes with a validity of 180 days and it offers 3GB of 2G/3G/4G daily data. It also offers unlimited voice calling to any network, including the Mumbai and Delhi circles (with FUP of 250 minutes per day). Apart from this, the plan also offers a total of 100 SMS messages per day.
