State-owned telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new Rs 997 prepaid plan in India for its customers with long-term validity and other benefits. This plan is available in all telecom circles, and the recharge will be available starting November 10.
The new BSNL Rs 997 comes with a validity of 180 days and it offers 3GB of 2G/3G/4G daily data. The speed is reduced after the FUP is reached, to 80kbps. This BSNL plan also offers Personalised Ringback Tone (PRBT) benefit for two months.
It also offers unlimited voice calling to any network, including the Mumbai and Delhi circles (with FUP of 250 minutes per day). Apart from this, the plan also offers a total of 100 SMS messages per day for the whole validity period.
This plan competes with Airtel’s Rs 998 prepaid plan and Vodafone and Jio’s Rs. 999 prepaid plans. The Airtel Rs 998 prepaid recharge comes with a validity of 336 days. It offers unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS per 28 days and 12GB of total data benefits
Vodafone Idea Rs 999 plan offers a validity of 365 days and it comes with similar benefits as Airtel. Jio’s Rs 999 plan with a validity of 90 days and it offers 60GB data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calling and 100 SMSes per day for 90 days. Non-Jio calls are charged at Rs 0.06 per minute.
