BSNL launches Rs 39 plan offering unlimited voice calls

The unlimited voice calls will be only valid in circles where BSNL has its operations. For the unintended, the operator does not have services in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has today announced the launch of Rs 39 for its customers. The plan is valid on the pan-India basis.

BSNL new prepaid STV (special tariff voucher) offers unlimited local and STD voice calls for a validity period of 10 days. Apart from this, the operator is also offering 100 messages per day. It means you are getting 1000 SMSes with this plan. Also, there is no daily FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limit with this plan, so there is no daily or weekly limit and users can make unlimited calls. Further, users opting for Rs 39 plan will also get free caller tune service (PRBT). It is to be noted that this pack does not offer any data benefits.

However, it is important to note that the unlimited voice calls will be only valid in circles where BSNL has its operations. For the unintended, the operator does not have services in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. So, in metro cities, users will be charged at standard rates.

Meanwhile, in a related story, BSNL has once again extended free Sunday calling offer. The offer allows users to avail free unlimited calling benefits from BSNL landline to any landline and mobile on Sundays.

To recall, the company introduced the free Sunday calls for landline users on August 21, 2016, which allowed users free unlimited calling from BSNL landline to any landline and mobile network of any service provider on Sundays on pan India basis. The company then withdrew the free service from February 01, 2018. However, just after the state-owned telecom operator announced that it will extend the service till April 30, 2018.

Earlier BSNL announced Rs 349 plan for its prepaid users. the state-run telecom operator new prepaid STV (special tariff voucher) offers 1GB of data per day for a validity period of 54 days. Apart from this, the operator is offering unlimited local, STD voice calls and 100 SMS messages per day.
