BSNL brings 6.5 inch smartphone for Rs 7,999

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has partnered with Pantel Technologies to introduce three new budget smartphones for the Indian market. BSNL-Pantel has introduced a new budget phone – Bharat Phone PF300 – for Rs 1799. Also, they have announced 6.5-inch display bearing PS650 smartphone for Rs 7,999 and 5-inch display bearing PS501 for Rs 6,999. The new Penta smartphones run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

The new BSNL Bharat Phone PF300 phone has a 3-inch display and is powered by Java. The PF300 comes with dual-SIM configuration and dual standby feature. The PF300 has 64 MB RAM and 64 MB Internal storage. This basic phone will also have some features like voice call recording, mobile tracker, SMS scheduler and Stereo FM with recording feature. The phone has an 1800 mAh battery packed to offer 8 hours worth talk time. BSNL offers 200 minutes of talk time free on BSNL network.

BSNL Penta Smart PS650 features a 6.5-inch touchscreen display and clads 480×800 pixel resolution. This smartphone is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 mobile processor with Mali 400 graphics chip. This smartphone has 512 MB RAM to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update smoothly and 4 GB internal storage. Memory card slot allows adding up to 32 GB micro SD card. This large screen smartphone has a 2 megapixel camera at the back and front-facing VGA camera. With the 3G network connectivity, the phone also offers WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB on-the-go as other options. The Penta Smart PS650 is priced at Rs 7,999.

BSNL Penta Smart PS501 packs a 5-inch IPS display and has 480×854 pixel resolution. This smartphone is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 mobile processor paired with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. Measuring mere 9.6 mm thick, the PS501 comes in dual SIM configuration with dual standby feature. At the rear, it has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and a front-facing VGA camera. This smartphone also features FM radio with recording capability and offers 3G network support along with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as wireless connectivity options. It comes with an 1800 mAh battery.
