Asus reportedly launched its new smartphone under its Go-Series in India, which is dubbed as Asus ZenFone Go ZB500KL. As per a Mumbai retailer, Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone is now available for purchase at Rs 8,999. Interestingly, the smartphone has also been listed on Asus India website and Amazon India at the same price of Rs 8,999 so we can expect the official announcement from the company soon. The smartphone comes in Black, White, Red, Gold, Sliver, and Aqua Blue colour options.
The ZenFone Go ZB500KL features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916 ) processor, paired with Adreno 306 graphic processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card. As per Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with Zen UI on top of it, but in Amazon India, it is listed with Android 4.4.4 KitKat which is a bit confusing. So it’s better to wait for the official announcement.
On the camera front, the smartphone offers a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. The camera features include Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Manual Mode (for DSLR-like camera detail settings), Real Time Beautification Mode, Night Mode, Depth of Field Mode, Photo Effect Mode, Selfie Mode, GIF Animation Mode, Miniature Mode, Time Rewind Mode, Smart Remove Mode, All Smiles Mode, and Panorama Mode. The phone gets its strength from a 2600mAh battery, which claims to offer a Standby time of up to 16 hours. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS/BDS,USB Type-C 2.0 port Accelerator, E-Compass, Proximity sensor, Hall sensor, and Ambient light sensor. The handset measures 143.7 x 70.85 x 11.25mm and weighs 150 grams.
