Asus ZenFone 4 Pro Android Oreo update now rolling out

The Zenfone 4 Pro smartphone was launched last year with Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with company’s ZenUI 4.0 running on top of it.

Asus has announced the rollout of Oreo OTA update to the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro smartphone (model ZS551KL). The Zenfone 4 Pro smartphone was launched last year with Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with company’s ZenUI 4.0 running on top of it.

The Android 8.0 Oreo update has a version number of V15.0410.1802.34 and is currently available as an OTA but can be manually downloaded to the phone. Users can go to Settings> About Phone, to check for the latest update.

After the Oreo update, the smartphone will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. So, for example, one can minimise a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email. Android Oreo has other features like including Background limits, installation of apps via APK, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Wide-gamut colour for apps, Snoozing individual notification, Adaptive icons, Keyboard navigation, WebView enhancements and much more.
