Asus had launched the Zenfone 3 series smartphones in India in August this year. The series included smartphones – ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Laser. Now it seems like the Taiwanese company is working on a new Zenfone 3 series smartphone which is named as Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom. The smartphone has been spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA with model name ASUS_Z01HDA. The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is expected to be launched during Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 event.
As per the TENAA listing, the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom has a 5.5 inch full HD display with 1080×1920 resolution, a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 2GB RAM. The smartphone is listed on TENAA in three variants – 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage respectively with an expandable memory via microsd card. It offers an 16-megapixel dual rear camera setup with dual LED flash, and a laser-focus, a 13-megapixel front camera and a 4850 mAh battery. The device also features a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and the images reveal that it has Black, Silver, and Gold colour versions. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB. The phone is 154.3 mm tall, 77 mm wide and 7.99 mm thin and it weighs 170 grams, according to the TENAA listing.
Yesterday only, Asus scheduled Zennovation event for CES 2017 on January 4 where it is expected to announce a new device which will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.
