The offer is available only to those who have purchased an Asus smartphone on or after June 16, 2017 through any online or offline channels. Additionally, they have to be a Reliance Jio Prime user.

Asus and Reliance Jio have come together to launch the ‘Additional Data Offer’ for its consumers. Asus India has now partnered with Reliance Jio to give out 100 of additional data to Asus smartphone users.

The offer is available only to those who have purchased an Asus smartphone on or after June 16, 2017 through any online or offline channels. Additionally, they have to be a Reliance Jio Prime user. Thereby, they can avail up to maximum of 10 recharges of Rs 309 or above. According to Gizbot, ‘Asus says that the Additional Data Offer will open up a world of possibilities and grants the user unlimited freedom to access content and information anytime anywhere.’

However, not every Asus smartphone user will be eligible to get the additional data. There are three segments of smartphone users who can avail this offer. The first segment comprises of smartphone users who are eligible for 3GB of additional 4G data. The smartphones included in this are Zenfone Selfie, Zenfone Max, Zenfone Live, Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE, Zenfone Go 5.0 and Zenfone Go 5.5 LTE.

In segment two, smartphones users are eligible for 5GB of additional 4G data. The smartphones included in this segment are, Zenfone 2, Zenfone 2 Laser, Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5, Zenfone 3S Max, Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Max 5.2 and Zenfone 3 Max 5.5.

Lastly in the segment three, the smartphones users are eligible for the full 10GB of additional 4GB data. The smartphones included in this segment are Asus Zenfone Zoom, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Ultra, Zenfone 3 5.2 or Zenfone 3 5.5 .
The offer is limited to 10 recharges till 31st March 2018.

Like the Airtel extradaa offer, which has just been extended, we believe this data largesse would be best served when fims allow two things- unused data to be carried over, and transfer of data balance to friends and relatives on the same network. That, in our view would really open up the data market.
