Digging out more, the documents filed with China’s State Intellectual Property Office reveals that the next gen iPhone will come with Dual SIM capability. Interestingly, the application was first submitted in March 2016 before it was published back in September 2016. Further, the filing identifies the inventor as Li Su who as per his Linkedin Profile is a principal architect for cellular software at Apple. Adding to this, Apple just got a patent for Dual SIM card technology from United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) which further adds up the spice to this latest rumour.

Nevertheless, it will be extremely exciting if Apple can push the Dual SIM slot in its next iPhone because in countries like India and China, Dual SIM slot in a smartphone may soon become a necessity in a smartphone. However, it is still too early to authenticate such reports and we would advise you to stay updated on this on The Mobile Indian network.

Yesterday, a report from Korea Herarld revealed that the next iPhone (probably iPhone 8) will come with curved display after the company ordered only the Plastic OLED displays from Samsung Display.
