Apple iPhone X to go on sale today in India

The latest iPhone will be available through both online and offline stores starting from 6:00 PM in the country.

Apple’s first bezel-less smartphone, the iPhone X, is all set to go on sale today in India. The latest iPhone will be available through both online and offline stores starting from 6:00 PM in the country.

The iPhone X is priced at Rs 89,000 for the 64GB variant and a whopping Rs 1,02,000 for the 256GB variant. The phone will be available on online platforms including Flipkart, Amazon and in terms of offline channels, users can buy it at Brightstar Telecommunication India, Redington, Croma, Reliance Digital and other retail stores.

Some vendors are also offering some existing deals on the iPhone X. To start with Bharti Airtel, the operator is offering Rs 10,000 cash back on the device. The operator will sell the iPhone X starting from 6 pm on its new Airtel Online Store. Under this offer, Citibank Credit Cards customers will get a cashback of Rs 10,000. Further, the cashback will be available between 6:00 PM, November 3, and till 7:00 AM on November 4. It is worth noting that the offer will only be available for Airtel postpaid customers as an unlocked device on a first come first serve and full payment basis, till the stocks last.

Reliance Jio, on the other hand, is also offering Rs 10,000 cashback on Citibank debit or credit cards. The company is further offering 70 percent buyback guarantee on the latest iPhone X. The offer can be availed from Amazon India as well.

Recollecting some key specifications, iPhone X features a bezel-less display and sports a 5.8-inch Super Retina Display, which is made out of screen. The screen comes with a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels and has a density of 458ppi. The latest iPhone sports a glass back and is strengthened with stainless steel frame. The display also supports HDR 10 as well.

Moving on, the iPhone X sports a new TrueDepth Camera, which the company claims is used to map user’s face and unlock it using FaceID. The new iPhone X is powered by the latest A11 Bionic chip with a neural engine, which the company helps improve machine learning algorithm. The neural engine comes with a dual-core processor. Apple says FaceID is safer as compared to the TouchID.

On the camera front, the device sports a dual-camera setup at the back, which is aligned vertically. The dual rear cameras come with a combination of 12-megapixel wide angle lens with f/1.8 and 12-megapixel telephoto lens with aperture f/2.4 with both the support Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The iPhone X also comes loaded with a new Portrait lighting mode both on the front and back, which basically advance version of the portrait mode. For the front, there is a 7-megapixel camera.
