Apple has announced the launch of new colour option for its latest iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Dubbed as (Product) Red Special Edition, the new colour option will be available for both the variants of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
The iPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED comes with a price tag of Rs 67,940 for the 64GB storage variant, while the 256GB option is priced at Rs 81,500. The iPhone 8 Plus RED is priced at Rs 77,560 for the 64GB storage option, while the 256GB version cost Rs 91,110. Further, the brand has introduced a new Leather Folio case for the iPhone X which comes with a price tag of Rs 7,999. The new Red coloured iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available in India in May 2018.
To recall, Apple earlier introduced the (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India as well. The company rolls out the special edition devices to highlight its partnership with RED that seeks to engage the private sector in raising awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/AIDS.
Recollecting some key specs, both the iPhones sports Retina HD displays with True Tone feature that adjust the white balance of the display to match the surrounding light for a more natural, paper-like viewing experience. The iPhone 8 features a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 8 Plus features a 5.5-inch display.
On the camera front, the iPhone 8 Plus features dual-camera setup at the rear panel. The cameras come with a combination of 12-megapixel wide angle lens with aperture f/1.8 and 12-megapixel telephoto lens with aperture f/2.8 with OIS, quad-LED True Tone flash. The iPhone 8 sports a single 12-megapixel sensor at the rear panel.
The new camera also delivers the highest quality video capture ever in a smartphone with better video stabilization, 4K video up to 60fps and 1080p slo-mo up to 240fps. The Apple-designed video encoder provides real-time image and motion analysis for optimal quality video.
