Apple will be announcing an updated version of iPhone 4 with all glam and glitter as iPhone 5 in an event in September this year, Bloomberg has reported.
According to people familiar with the product, the new iPhone will feature Apple A5 chip and an 8 Megapixel camera. The new iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S, as several tag it, will run iOS 5 operating system previewed earlier this month at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference. Besides that, Apple is also testing next version of iPad with higher screen resolution.
Mystery continues to shroud across the Apple products as the company has been taking several strides from its usual product launch cycle. All eyes and expectations set at Apple’s next iPhone model, anticipating the device to compete with the hardware and software of the top Android smartphone models – directly or indirectly.
According to reports, the next iPhone would be an updated iPhone 4 version with A5 chip used in iPad 2 and iOS 5 operating system showcased earlier this month. Apart from that, it will sport about 4-inch display and also likely to include an NFC chip.
Fresh reports by Taiwanese daily DigiTimes noted that component makers have been tapped by Apple for dual LED flash sensors. The iPhone 5’s design is also rumoured to be similar to that of iPod touch fourth generation and quoted to carry a tear drop shape.
Apparently, it appears from multiple reports that Apple may launch the iPhone 5 along with iOS 5 this year itself. We’ll have to wait and watch for the company always remains tight-lipped when it comes to its future products.
