The year 2016 seems to be the year of smartphones with 6 GB RAM. Already Vivo Xplay 5 Elite has been confirmed to come with 6 GB RAM while Meizu Pro 6 is reported to be coming with 6 GB RAM. Now another Chinese company, Vernee revealed its flagship smartphone – the Apollo – with 6 GB RAM.
The Vernee Apollo was showcased at an event yesterday in Shenzhen, China, where it was showed with the Mediatek’s Helio X20 chip MT6797. The Helio X20 is the latest chipset of Mediatek to have a deca core processor that contains 4 A53 processors of 1.4Ghz, 4 A53 processors of 2.0Ghz and 2 A72 processors of 2.5Ghz. The chipset has Mali-T880 graphics processor.
The Vernee Apollo has a 5.5 inch display with 2K resolution. It has 128 GB of internal storage and the latest Android Marshmallow operating system. Besides, the smartphone has 21 Megapixel rear camera with SONY IMX230 sensor and an 8 megapixel front camera. It will be launched in April this year but the company has not revealed its price yet.
