Android One devices getting Lollipop update

All the Android One devices available in the market have a 4.5 inch display with 480x854 pixels resolution.

Android One smartphones, Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream UNO Mi-498, and Karbonn Sparkle V were expected to be the first devices to get the Lollipop Android 5.0 which on the ground didn’t happen. The latest development for Android One devices is India is that they are now getting latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is available over-the-air (OTA) and Android One owners can manually check for the update on their device by going into Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates.

All the Android One devices available in the market have a 4.5 inch display with 480×854 pixels resolution. The phones are powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, Mali-400MP graphics and 1GB RAM. They have 4GB internal storage and an expandable storage slot that can accommodate a micro card of up to 32GB capacity.

Android One devices sports a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The phones have a 1700mAh battery. For connectivity, the Android One phones supports 4.0, 3G, WiFi and A-GPS.
