Asus has rolled out the latest Android Nougat update for Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone. The device was launched last year in India with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The Android Nougat update comes with version V22.40.26.43 and is available for the smartphone with model number ZS550KL.
As stated previously, Android Nougat brings in a bunch of new features including split-screen multi-tasking, more customisable quick settings, better battery life, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window. Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in ‘Double Tap’ on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which come in very handy at times. For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with ‘Doze on the go’ which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.
Apart from these features, the update brings some other changes as well. The Share Link App and some unnecessary apps shortcuts like Audio Wizard, Splendid, System update, and Flashlight have been removed from all apps menu. Those which are not compatible with Nougat update have also removed PC Suite, ShakeShake from ZenMotion, as well as some pre-loaded live wallpapers.

Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device and will reach all the users in coming weeks. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. Before starting the update, your device should be at least 50% charged with a stable Wi-Fi network.

The Zenfone 3 Deluxe has two variants of Snapdragon 820 and 821 processor.
