Android Nougat rolled out for Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro in India

The Nougat update weighs around 1400 MB in size and brings Experience 8.5 galaxy interface and all the functionalities that Android Nougat features.

Samsung has now rolled out the Nougat 7.0 update for its Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone in India, as per a report of SamMobile. Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro was launched in India earlier this year with 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The Nougat update weighs around 1400 in size and brings Experience 8.5 galaxy interface and all the functionalities that Android Nougat features.

The Experience 8.5 brings a lot of features like integration of Samsung’s Cloud, a revamped Device Manager application, and shutter button zooming for the Camera client. It is also a lot smoother than the Experience 8.1 which was debuted on the Galaxy S8. Additionally, the phone will also receive the Nougat-specific changes like notifications improvements, better multi-window implementation, quick setting improvements, data saver, and more.

The software firmware version for this update is C900FDDU1BQK1 for the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro. Do keep in mind that before you go for the downloading the update, check that battery of your smartphone. It should have at least 50% charge and 2GB of free space is available. Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 (4 x 1.95GHz + 4 x 1.44GHz) and Adreno 510 GPU. The phone has a 6GB RAM, 64GB which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone now runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with technology. The smartphone features a metal unibody and a 6-inch display with full (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display.

The smartphone has a 16-megapixel shooter on the back with dual-tone flash, f/1.9 and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Dual SIM, LTE, WiFi, 4.2, GPS, and a Type C. The handset measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm and weighs 185 grams. The device also features a fingerprint sensor in the home button.
