The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro was launched in China last year in two variants with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Then earlier this year, the device got the Nougat update in China. Now, the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro has reportedly begun receiving the Android Oreo 8.0 update. The update is currently rolling out to only in China and not available outside of China.
After the Oreo update, the smartphone will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. So, for example, one can minimise a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email. Android Oreo has other features like including Background limits, installation of apps via APK, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Wide-gamut colour for apps, Snoozing individual notification, Adaptive icons, Keyboard navigation, WebView enhancements and much more.
Besides bring all goodies of Oreo, the update on ZUK Z2 Pro also includes a new version of the ZUI user interface 3.5.116, and the Android security patch for November month.
ZUK Z2 Pro features a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB/6GB RAM. There is 64/128 GB of internal storage in the phone. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with ZUI 2.0 interface on top and comes fitted with a non-removable 3100 mAh battery that has Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support too. The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the home button that can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds. The ZUK Z2 Pro is made out of metal and its bezels are very thin.
