Alcatel U5 HD launched with Android Nougat and front flash

The smartphone flaunts an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash support as well.

Alcatel launched U5 earlier this year in February at MWC event. Now the company has launched the upgraded variant named as Alcatel U5 smartphone. The pricing and availability of the device for purchase is not revealed yet but it is expected to be announced in early September at IFA 2017. It will come in two colour options – Volcano Black and Pure White.

Alcatel U5 HD features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad core 1.1GHz processor. The smartphone comes with 1GB and runs on 7.0 Nougat operating system. The U5 HD backed with a 2200 battery which is rated to offer 4 hours of and 200 hours of standby time.

Alcatel U5 HD comes with 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 128 via a microSD card. The smartphone flaunts a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash support as well. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), micro-USB port, 4.2 and GPS/A-GPS.
