Alcatel is all set to launch its new smartphone in India, named as Alcatel Idol 4. The company has started sending out media invites for the curtain-raiser event which is scheduled to take place in Delhi on December 8th. The smartphone will be launched alongwith a VR headset.
Alcatel Idol 4 was first unveiled in MWC 2016 held in Barcelona in February this year alongwith Alcatel Idol 4S.
Alcatel Idol 4 features a 5.2-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor (1.7GHz quad-core + 1.2GHz quad core). The smartphone comes with 3GB and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The Idol 4 backed with a 2610 mAh battery with Quick Charge support.
OneTouch Idol 4 comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 512 GB via a microSD card. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, Boom key for instant photo and Waves sound technology. The handset measures 147×72.5×7.1mm and weighs 130 grams. The Sensors include G-sensor, E-Compass, and Gyroscope.
To recall, the other device Alcatel Idol 4S features a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED Display and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor (1.8GHz quad-core + 1.4GHz quad core) which runs the phone along with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is packed with a 3000 mAh battery.
OneTouch Idol 4S comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable by up-to 512 GB via microSD card. The smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, Micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS/A-GPS. The handset measures 153.9×75.4×6.99mm and weighs 149 grams. The sensors include G-sensor, E-Compass, Hall sensor, Proximity, Light sensor and Gyroscope.
