Alcatel launched its smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 including Alcatel 5, three phones under Alcatel 3-series and Alcatel 1X. Now the low-end version of the Alcatel 1X called the Alcatel 1 has been spotted online in Russia.
The company has however not yet announced any official details of the smartphone yet including its price. The Alcatel 1 will be available in Black, Blue, and Gold.
Alcatel 1 smartphone features a 5-inch display with a screen Resolution of 480 x 960 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 MediaTek MT6739 Processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded via micro SD card slot.
The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). The Go edition was first announced at Google I/O 2017 and it meant for low-end devices that run with 512MB to 1GB of memory. The aim is to provide the latest Android updates to the masses and it will be available as a part of Android 8.1 release.
On the camera front, the device will come loaded with 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. The Alcatel 1 will be backed by a 2000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, it supports LTE connectivity, although only up to Cat.4 (150Mbps down, 50Mbps up), WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, Dual-SIM and GPS. The smartphone measures 137.6 x 65.7 x 9.8mm and it weighs 134 grams.
