While smartphone users in India await the launch of Acer Liquid Mini, Acer has made available the Original Acer Liquid S100 Ferrari limited edition smartphone in India again but this time it will cost less than the price announced earlier.
The S100 Ferrari edition is the same limited edition smartphone that was launched last year in September with a price tag of Rs 34,999. Now Acer India has reduced the price of the Acer Liquid Ferrari S100 smartphone to Rs 24,999.
The smartphone will also come with an upgraded Android operating system. Acer Liquid Ferrari smartphone now comes with a preinstalled Android 2.2 Froyo (Frozen Yogurt) as opposed to the Android 2.1 Éclair.
Liquid Ferrari has the same configuration as its predecessor, including an under clocked Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor running at 786 MHz, along with a dedicated Adreno 200 graphics processor. The capacitive touch display remains the same at 3.5 inches with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, and the device has a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera. But the company will offer a complimentary 8 GB microSD memory card with the smartphone, along with a Ferrari branded Bluetooth handsfree kit and a Ferrari branded mobile pouch.
