Acer is all set to rock the world with its new smartphone — Allegro, which will be based on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system. The Acer Allegro is expected to be announced in India by the end of this year at approximately Rs 20,000.
After the Neo Touch, Allegro will be the only Windows based device to come from Acer’s arsenal.
The Acer Allegro features a 3.7 inch LCD touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution and is capable of producing 16 million colours.
It houses a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor with Adreno 205 GPU. This handset features 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory but actual storage available will be less than 8 GB as Windows Phone 7.5 operating system too will occupy some memory.
Allegro features a 5 megapixel camera but does not have flash. The camera is capable of recording 720p HD videos as well. Sadly the Allegro misses out on the front camera so video conferencing won’t be possible.
