2018 Hyundai Creta facelift spied in India

The top end SX+ and SX(O) variant are expected to get a sunroof.

It seems that Hyundai is working on the next-generation of its Creta. We have some leaks in the past and now,2018 Hyundai Creta facelift has been spotted testing on the streets of Pune.

The spy shots were shared by Car Dekho and it shows some interesting design language of the upcomingCreta. To start with the front has received Hyundai’s signature front grille design along with new bumpers and a re-designed headlamp cluster. The headlamps feature projectors and it also has cornering lamps.The facelift also brings fog lamps and Daytime Running Lights mounted on the front bumper.

The wheels also get dual tone diamond cut alloy treatment, which is currently present on the top-end SX+ and SX(O) variants. This also means that the car present in the picture could be top-end mode. Interestingly, the images also reveal that the top-end models will also get a sunroof. The pictures also show a belt under the window. The rear of the car is expected to get a revised taillight design and an updated bumper.We expect the prices to go up when the new facelift is available on the market.

Another image taken by Car-Dekho shows a sunroof. Coming to the interior here Hyundai will be updating the touchscreen infotainment display to add CarPlay and Auto connectivity in all probability. This will help you pair and use your Apple iPhone or Android phone with the infotainment display. Under the hood, Hyundai might continue to use the same engine from the current version, however, there is no way to confirm it right now. The current model of Hyundai Creta includes a 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 123 bhp of power and 151Nm of torque.

There are two diesel options, either a 1.4-litre engine producing 89 bhp or a 1.6-litre engine with 126 bhp. There are two transmission options. A 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Pricing for the SX+ petrol variant is ₹12.02 lakh while the same variant for the diesel costs ₹13.48 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi prices). On the other hand, the automatic variant for the petrol variant is priced at ₹ 13.04 lakh and the diesel at ₹14.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi prices). The top end SX (option) variant is only offered on the diesel variant. It has a 6-speed manual gearbox and is priced at ₹ 14.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
