11. Adcom Thunder 500 (Rs 7,999)

It comes with a 5 inch IPS display, a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB inbuilt memory. Like A450, it has an 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera. It has two batteries of 2800 mAh each, which sounds unbelievable but that is what the company said on its website.

The phone gets a very large battery, which is great, plus other specifications are also good, though it’s a relatively lesser-known brand and therefore might not become very popular soon.

Spice Mobile (S Mobility’s) latest 5 inch Android smartphone is called Stellar Horizon Mi 505 Pro. The dual 3G SIM phone comes with a 5 inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 1 GHz dual core processor, and is priced at Rs 8,499. Stellar Horizon Mi 505 Pro is 9.6 mm thick and it runs on Android 4.0 operating system. It comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera.

The phone gets 4 GB of inbuilt memory and 512 MB RAM and offers a decent 2100 mAh battery, but with only four hours of claimed talktime. In terms of connectivity the Horizon Pro Mi505 gets Bluetooth 4.0, 3G on both the SIM cards, WiFi and GPS. Stellar Horizon Pro Mi 505 comes with a free leather cover and screen guard. Apart from Android 4.0, which is not the latest, the phone offers good specifications at a very attractive price.

Karbonn Smart A111 comes with Android 4.0 operating system and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion dual core processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. In terms of camera though Smart A111 has a 5 megapixel unit at the back with auto focus, burst mode and face detection features. There is a front VGA camera for video chat as well. The phone has a 2100 mAh battery.

Videocon A51 is a 5 inch phone with Android 4.0 operating system, a 1 GHz dual core processor and 512 MB RAM. The display boasts 854 x 480 pixel resolution (similar to Canvas II A110). It comes with a 2000 mAh battery, an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a VGA camera in the front.
