Sony has announced that it will release the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean versiob for ten Xperia devices next month. On its official blog post, it has also revealed names of recipients of Android KitKat update.
The list of the Xperia smartphones getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean includes the Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. These devices would be getting the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update next month.
Meanwhile the company has also clarified the first list of devices that will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update. This list of Xperia devices includes Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1.
Sony has not given out a confirmed date but only the list of devices getting Android 4.4 KitKat update. We hope that other Xperia devices will be evaluated for the Android 4.4 KitKat update eligibility.
Sony Xperia devices owners can expect to receive the update over the air and can be downloaded using Sony’s Update your Xperia software.
