As per a report by GizmoChina, an industry insider from China has revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be the first Chinese smartphone to come powered with 835 SoC. Earlier also, as per a post by an analyst Kevin Wang Diary on Chinese micro-blogging website, Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi 6 might come with Snapdragon 835 which is in line with the today’s new reports. Kevin Wang Diary revealed that the available supply for the Snapdragon 835 is although small but it would not hamper the launch date of Xioami Mi 6 as Xiaomi has already started receiving shipments of the Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Later, another Chinese tipster revealed on Chinese micro blogging website, Weibo, that the Xiaomi Mi 6 might be the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 835 SoC. He further added that Mi 6 looks like a shrunk down version of the Mi Note 2 in terms of the design. Apart from that, the tipster also revealed that the device will come in three – black, white, and blue colour options and will have 128GB and 256GB internal storage variants.

The upcoming flagship smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 are all rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. Recent rumours have also hinted that Asus might be unveiling new smartphones with all new Snapdragon 835 at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017. But now the company has announced Asus Zenfone AR and Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor respectively. So the Xiaomi Mi 6 rumour with the new is still rather believable.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 was earlier reported to be unveiled in April. But then we heard of the smartphone to be announced on February 6. Xiaomi is now expected to unveil the Xiaomi Mi 6 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

As per earlier reports, Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come with 6GB RAM and feature Type C support. It will reportedly run on 7.0 or 7.1 Nougat update with MIUI 9 OS on top of it. For the photography, Xiaomi Mi 6 is touted to come with dual camera setup and support Xiaomi Fast charge, claims rumours. This in contrary to previous leaked renders of the device which interestingly revealed a single camera setup which is why we advise our readers to take this information with a pinch of salt as it is not yet confirmed by the company yet.
