Huawei Honor 6X is now available in two new colour variants- Blue and Pink. As of now, these two new colour variants are only available in China. However, we would expect Blue and Pink variants of Honor 6X to be available in India very soon.
The Honor 6X was launched in India in the month of January this year in Grey, Silver and Gold colour options. The 3GB RAM model is priced at Rs 12,999, while for 4GB RAM model one has to pay Rs 15,999.
The main USP of the device is the dual-camera setup at the back. The device features a combination of a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. The set up comes with phase detection Autofocus (PDAF), LED flash etc. At the front, there is an 8-megapxel sensor for selfies. The rear camera setup on the Honor 6X is more like the one we saw in HTC One M8. The set up lets you dig into and play with shallow depth of field and one can change the focus of an image post clicking it.
As far as other specifications are concerned, Honor 6X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI v4.1 on top. Other than that, it comes with a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection. On the inside, the device is powered by a Kirin 655 octa-core (4 cores at 2.1GHz + 4 cores at 1.7GHz) chipset with Mali-T830MP2 GPU paired with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. In both the cases, the internal storage is expandable via microSD card. There is 3340 mAh battery inside and the smartphone also offers 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Compass etc.
At CES 2017, Huawei also confirmed that Honor 6X will soon get Android Nougat update, probably in Q2 2017. The update will also bring in the new EMUI 5.0 which is a big overhaul from the current EMUI 4.1.
