The Gionee S9 which was recently spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency TENAA is now spotted on Antutu Benchmarking website.
As per the listing on AnTuTu benchmark, the Gionee S9 comes with a full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display but the screen size is not known. Besides, the listing says that the handset has MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 SoC, MAli-T860 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory. The listing further mentions that the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and it has a 13 Megapixel rear camera as well as a 13 megapixel selfie camera. The listing has no information about its battery size.
The specs in Antutu listing are almost inline with the specs spotted in TENAA except that the TENAA listing showed a dual-rear camera set up of of 13 megapixel and a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 13 megapixel front camera while the new listing shows a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 13 megapixel selfie camera.

The Gionee phone was spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA in two variants – Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T. Both the smartphones have almost same specifications except in Processor clock speed and weight. While Gionee S9 is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, the Gionee S9T comes with 2.0 GHz processor clock speed.
As per the TENAA listing, the Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T have a 5.5 inch full HD display with 1920 × 1080 pixel Resolution and 4GB RAM. They offer 64GB of internal storage, 128GB expandable memory, a dual-rear camera of 13 megapixel and a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 13 megapixel front camera and a 3000 mAh battery. The phones run on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and the listing reveals that the Gionee S9 comes in Gold color and the Gionee S9T comes in Gold and Black colour variants. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port. The phones are 154.2 mm tall, 76.4 mm wide and 7.4 mm thin. The Gionee S9 weighs 166.5 grams and the Gionee S9T weights 200.8 grams, according to the TENAA listing.
Once Gionee makes S9 official, we will come to know if the S9 will come with dual camera set up or not. We will keep you posted once we get more updates on the smartphone.
The Gionee S9 is the successor to the Gionee S8 smartphone which was first announced at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona in February earlier this year. The Gionee S8 has a 5.5 inch touchscreen that comes with full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It comes with a full metal body and a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in its home button which is located just below the display. The S8 is armed with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It has the Mediatek Helip P10 Chipset that has an octa core processor running at 1.9 GHz. The Gionee S8 comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and has Gionee’s Amigo interface. It includes 16 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, and a 8megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The Gionee S8 has a hybrid dual SIM slot in which the second SIM slot can alternatively hold a micro SD card of up to 200 GB capacity. Ofcourse, this dual SIM phone offers 4G connectivity; it is also VoLTE compatible. Besides, the S8 offers WiFi (b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP, GPS with AGPS, FM radio, and a micro USB port with USB Host functionality. There is a 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery in the Gionee S8. It measures 154.3 x 74.9 x 7 mm and weighs 147.2 grams. It also has DTS and HiFi audio technologies.
