The newly launched LeEco Le 1s is a great phone, but if your interest is limited to non-Chinese phones, then here are five great alternatives to the Le 1s. The Le 1s is priced at Rs 10,999, and the phones listed below are priced similarly.
But before we begin here is a recap of Le 1s’ specification sheet. The Le 1s, which was announced earlier this week for the Indian market, has a screw-less unibody metal body. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by Mediatek flagship Helio X10 Turbo 2.2GHz octa-core processor which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The Le 1s runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with the EUI 5.5 custom user interface on top of it. The smartphone comes with a reversible USB Type-C with fast-charging SpeedVolt technology and gets the power from 3000 mAh battery. On the camera from, the smartphone offers 13-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
The company claims that the camera lock focusses in just 0.09 seconds. The dual-SIM handset measures 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.5 mm and weighs 169 grams. It has a mirrored fingerprint sensor on its back panel and will be available from Flipkart from February 2.
Lenovo K4 Note, before Le 1s, used to be considered as the undisputed champion of this price range (on the basis of its specs) and it has almost the same spec sheet as the 1s.
Like the Le 1s, the Lenovo K4 Note is equipped with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android Lollipop. It has a 64 bit, octa-core 1.3 GHz processor (Mediatek MT6753), which runs with 3 GB of RAM. It has also 32 GB of internal memory to which you can add another 144 GB via a micro SD card.
Like the 1s, the K4 Note also offers a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter. The dual-SIM Lenovo K4 Note offers 4G, GPS, WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth for connectivity. It has infact a bigger 3300 mAh battery.
The Lenovo A7000 Turbo is equipped with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android Lollipop, and has the MediaTek MT6752 chipset that comes with a 64 bit octa core processor with maximum clockspeed of 1.7 Ghz. The Turbo offers 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, and a 32 GB micro SD card slot.
The Lenovo A7000 Turbo has a 13 megapixel autofocus camera, rear LED flash light and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter. The dual-SIM Lenovo A7000 Turbo also compatible with 4G networks and it offers GPS (A-GPS and GLONASS), WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity. It has a 2900 mAh battery that claims to offer up to 36 hours of talk time or 750 hours of standby.
Though spec-for-spec, it doesn’t stand a chance against Le 1s but brand conscious buyers would certainly rate Moto G (3rd Gen) much higher to the LeEco phone. Moto G (3rd Gen, 16 GB), which can be purchased at Rs 10,999, offers a consistent and decent performance.
It is armed with a 5 inch IPS display that has decent 1280×720 pixels resolution. This Android Lollipop based smartphone offers the stock Android interface. It runs a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor, and is armed with 2 GB of RAM. This version has 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded by another 32 GB via a microSD card. The primary camera is a 13 megapixel camera, while the front has a 5 megapixel shooter. The dual-SIM Motorola Moto G 3 has 4G, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. The power is provided by a 2470 mAh battery.
The Lava X10 is equipped with a 5 inch HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android Lollipop, and has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, which runs with 3 GB of RAM. The phone has 16 GB internal storage facility as well as 32 GB of microSD card slot.
It too has 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter. The dual-SIM Lava X10 also offers 4G, GPS (A-GPS), WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity. It has a pretty good 2900 mAh battery that claims to provide up to 15 hours of talk time or 849 hours of standby.
It is yet another superb phone that you can have if you don’t like the Le 1s. Like the Le 1s, the Xolo Black (3GB) variant has 3 GB RAM, 5.5 inch full HD IPS display and Android Lollipop operating system. This Xolo smartphone has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 16 GB of internal memory and a 32 GB of expandable storage facility.
It has an interesting camera set up that sets it apart from its competitors. The Xolo Black (3GB) has two rear cameras, one is of 13 megapixel resolution while the other one is of 2 megapixel. The secondary 2 MP camera is meant for adjusting focus. It also offers a 5 megapixel selfie taker. Besides, the Xolo Black (3 GB) has dual-SIM, 4G, GPS (A-GPS), Bluetooth, WiFi and a 3200 mAh battery.
