The Xiaomi will be producing this phone on a small-scale and will be made available at the end of December. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is priced at RMB 19,999 (approximately Rs 1,99,657).

The connectivity options include 5G/4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port.The phone measures 154.38×72.3×10.4mm and weigh 241 grams.

The top and bottom are covered with Aerospace-grade titanium alloy which is three times stronger than stainless steel and 1.3 times stronger than the 7-series aluminium alloy. At the back, the smartphone has a high-precision ceramics strip running across the panel, which houses triple rear camera setup. Moreover,the Mi Mix Alpha comes with pressure-sensitive virtual side buttons on both sides. It also comes with a linear motor that simulates the touch of physical buttons.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha features a 4D surround display, which helps the device to achieve a whopping 180.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio. It has a wraparound three-sided display, which has a single piece of sapphire glass covering the whole phone.As far as display size is concerned, it has a 7.92-inch wraparound display with a resolution of 2088×2250 pixels.

The device gets its juices from a 4050mAh no-removable battery with 40W fast charging support and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top of it.

Xiaomi announced its new 5G concept smartphone in China, which is named as Mi Mix Alpha. The smartphone comes loaded with 4D surround display with 180.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio and is the world’s first smartphone that carries a 108-megapixel primary camera, which is jointly developed by Xiaomi and Samsung.

There is no front camera setup as one can take selfie with the main camera.

The Phoneuses an anti-false-touch technology that deactivates the non-active area, allowing dynamic allocation of touch commands.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha: AI scene scenario detection feature

Mi Mix Alpha’s AI scene scenario detection activates different things. For example, if you are at home, it will open the Mi Home app. Similarly, if you call a taxi it will show the available routes or if you are at an airport, it will show flight information.
