The new Motorola Moto X has a bigger 5.2 inch AMOLED display as compared to the 4.7 inch AMOLED display of older version. However, it has the same HD resolution as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
As it has a bigger display, the new Moto X is naturally bigger than the older version: 140.8 mm tall and 72.4 mm wide while the older version is 129.4 mm tall and 65.3 mm wide.
It too has the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat version as the older Moto X.
The new Moto X comes with quad core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and Adreno 330 GPU, a big improvement over the 1.7 GHz dual core Snapdragon Pro processor of older Moto X.
Though it has a better processor, the new Moto X has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM combination as the older version.
The New Moto X has a bigger 2300 mAh battery as compared to the 2200 mAh battery of older version which though was the necessity as it has a bigger display.
The new Moto X comes with 4G compatibility. Besides, it has Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), mobile hotspot, and NFC.
The new Motorola Moto X has GPS as well as GLONASS for navigation.
The new Motorola Moto X has a 13 megapixel rear camera with f2.25 aperture which claims to be capable of capturing 4K videos and has Burst mode, Auto HDR, Panorama etc features. In its front there is a 2 megapixel camera which too is capable of capturing full HD videos.
