YouTube launched YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscription plans in India earlier this year. YouTube Music Premium is priced at Rs 99 per month and YouTube Premium costs Rs 129 per month with billing recurring monthly.
YouTube Premium and Music Premium services now come with non-recurring prepaid plans as well. Now users can pay upfront for the subscription and top up anytime as against monthly recurring billing cycle. They can now purchase 1-month or 3-month Prepaid plan to enjoy YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium benefits.
YouTube Music Premium prepaid plan is priced at Rs 109 for 1-month and Rs 309 for 3-months. However, under the Subscription Plan, it costs Rs 99/month with 1 month free trial for new users.
On the other hand, the YouTube Premium prepaid plan is priced at Rs 139 for 1-month and Rs 399 for 3-months. Under the Subscription Plan, it costs Rs 129 per month with 1 month free trial for new users.
The prepaid plans are currently available for Android and Web. Google says that prepaid plans can be purchased with a local credit or debit card from Visa or Mastercard. The YouTube Premium page reads “Many forms of payment are accepted”. As of now, the prepaid plans are showing only for new users of YouTube Music Premium or YouTube Premium.
