Xolo is planning to make a comeback in the Indian smartphone industry in 2019. The company is all set to launch two new smartphones in the first week of January 2019.
Sources close to the development told The Mobile Indian that one of the smartphones will be priced under Rs 15,000 while the second smartphone will be priced under Rs 10,000. Sources further revealed that both the smartphones will be powered by a MediaTek chipset, though the exact model number is not known at the moment. Moving on, the new Xolo smartphones will be loaded with a dual-camera setup. The upcoming smartphones will run on near-stock Android experience and both of them are said to be manufactured in India. One could also expect the phones to feature the new 18:9 aspect ratio as well.
Xolo remained silent throughout the year 2018. The company launched three smartphones in October 2017 including Xolo Era 3, Era 2V and Era 3X. All the smartphones fall under the budget segment. It would be interesting to see whether the brand will be able to create some news in 2019 with its new launches and could it compete with the likes of Realme, Xiaomi and more to provide a better proposition to its potential customers.
