Xioami is all set to launch its next flagship Mi 6 smartphone this month on 19th April in Beijing China. Now ahead of launch, Xiaomi has started teasing about the Mi 6 and has revealed that the smartphone will come with 6GB of RAM and a dual camera setup.
Xioami has shared a video teaser on its website which lays emphasis on “666” which hints that the Mi 6 will come with a dual rear camera and 6GB RAM. The company is also holding a contest until April 18 in China in which people can participate and stand a chance to win a Xiaomi Mi 6 when it launches.
The Mi 6 teaser was made live with a tagline that says that “You waited for 203 days, we waited for seven years” (translated). It means that people have waited 203 days for this phone, while they’ve been waiting for seven years to launch it.
Moreover, the latest images of Xiaomi Mi 6 rear cover have also been spotted on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. The images have been posted by ‘Machine Friend King (Translated)’ and further confirms the presence of dual rear camera setup in the Xiaomi Mi 6. The image also shows the vertically designed dual LED flash for the smartphone. These leaks also show that there will be curved edges on the rear side of the phone.
Along with the Xiaomi Mi 6, the Chinese handset manufacturer is also likely to introduce Mi 6 Plus. The Plus variant will boast a 5.7-inch screen but it will carry a similar 1080p Resolution just like Mi 6. It will feature a 6GB of RAM and might come in two storage variant of 64GB and 128GB. On the camera front, the Mi 6 Plus will feature dual-camera setup with both sportings a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor, while for the front, there will be an 8-megapixel ultra Pixel shooter. The smartphone will be juiced by a large 4500mAh Li-Po battery. Both the devices are likely to be powered by Android Nougat 7.1.1 with MIUI 8 on top.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus are expected to be available with a starting price of 2,199 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,630) and 2,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 25,317) respectively.
